I thank every animal after I get them. I thank them for feeding my family. It’s the only way to do it. We had to haul this back a quarter mile to the boat, and that really sucked! We butchered this one right there and hauled it out. It was a big old bull, and you really don’t want to get a musk ox at the opening of the season. ![]() What they’re predicting on this map is where the water levels are going to be. That’s one of the first pictures I took for this project. Somebody wanted a picture to that; and that’s when I took it. But it’s like a really awesome picture. It just shows you different years, one when we’re supposed to be totally underwater…. if the prediction is right. | ![]() I was actually doing a little photo shoot – what better kid to use than your own? I liked that I caught my son in mid-air. Did you notice the hats? They say Make America Native Again – the hat bill & beanie. This one shirt says, ban the books – when Portugal. The Man stood up for the kids in Wasilla. The other one is Austin City Limits – the first time PTM played Austin City Limits. PTM is from Alaska and they are friends of mine. | ![]() This is my daughter, Nicole Nayakpuk working on white fish. She’s learning to prepare food, to put food away for the winter. You can see the whitefish net in the water in back. This picture was taken on June 21, 2015 at 1:57 am. That’s how much light we still have. It’s that perfect lighting. Basically you gut it and cut it into four sections, and then you boil it and eat it with hot cakes.
